According to a new online survey done by AutoMD, vehicle owners are planning on keeping their vehicles longer then in recent years (longer by about 50,000 miles, on average). Of course, the longer an individual keeps a vehicle the higher their overall maintenance costs will be for that vehicle. But, that cost is more than outweighed by the savings from NOT purchasing a new vehicle.
Clearly, if an individual wants to extend the life of their vehicle in order to keep it on the road longer, two of the most important things they can do is consider the use of synthetic lubricants and high efficiency filtration. There really is no better way to extend the life of the mechanicals within a vehicle.
And, if you really want to improve the lubrication and filtration you’re using for your vehicles and equipment, you really had better know as much as possible about lubes and filters. There is really no better way to do that than to get your hands on “The Motor Oil Bible”.
If you’d like more details regarding this AutoMD survey, you can read a synopsis of it in this Lube Report article.
